Guy Armitage: Jersey Reds bring in Wasps centre on 'week-to-week loan'
Championship side Jersey Reds have signed Wasps centre Guy Armitage on a short-term loan deal.
The islanders have suffered major injury problems this season, with Lewis Robling the latest absentee.
He suffered a head injury in the loss at Rotherham and Armitage, 24, is set to replace him for Sunday's match against former club London Irish.
"Hopefully, he'll make a big impact," Reds coach Harvey Biljon told BBC Radio Jersey.
"We've got to say thank you to Wasps, and the fact that they've been able to help us out is what we've got to be most thankful for.
"Over the last two or three seasons I've looked to sign Guy myself because he's a quality player.
"This'll be a week-to-week scenario, we understand Wasps may need to call him back with their own injuries and the different competitions they play in."
The former England Under 20 international spent two years with London Irish, making more than 40 appearances, and moved to Wasps for the start of this season.
