Clermont Auvergne say Wales prop Aaron Jarvis has been ruled out for between four and six weeks by a wrist injury.

The former Bath and Ospreys player was injured during his side's Top 14 defeat at Pau last weekend.

It was Jarvis' fourth appearance since joining Clermont ahead of 2016-17.

Jarvis' first Wales cap came against Argentina in November, 2012 and his 18th and last on their June 2016 tour to New Zealand. He was omitted from Wales' autumn international matches.

The 30-year old will miss Clermont's 10 and 18 December European Champions Cup games against Ulster, the first in Belfast on Saturday.
