@25........Even Eddie 'slap-head' Jones says Eng are inconsistent. I'd say dire and over hyped but lets just stick with inconsistent for now.
Just hope, after this autumn's results, we hear no more of the SH v NH nonsense.
@24 Inconsistent England?22 wins from 23. Inconsistent?
On paper/world rankings Scot & Wal had the hardest AL series. Ire and Eng had an easier set of fixtures. Wal not as poor as results suggest but are too predictable. Scot showed improvement but still seem v porous. Eng are static, inconsistent and v vulnerable. Ire used the AL's v wisely, mixed it up well with some v promising players. Lots of combinations but need a stone-hearted ruthlessness.
Like many others, really looking forward to the 6 Nations. We’re looking ok (Ireland), great to see Scotland re-emerging, Wales will Pick it up and England very strong. Hope the French return to the style of old and were on a cracker.
@ 4 Calm done son. Did I say Ireland would win the World Cup? I said they are looking good, some talent coming through and winning matches regardless of scoreline and at the end of the day that's what it boils down to. At the moment Ireland, England and Scotland all pose threats to NZ. They all have work to do. Makes for an exciting 6N.
Well done Ireland. Building nicely and uncovering a few new players [as are we]. Look forward to our visit to Dublin next year - think you'll probably edge it but should be a cracker. [and hope we can all try and forget the WC shenanigans - not our finest hour]
Six nations this year is going to be fascinating, Can we ( Ireland) maintain the momentum? Can Scotland's huge improvement cover 5 energy sapping games? Can Wales bounce back with a side on their day can match anyone? Can the French be the French of old? Can the Italians create a one off special to put a spanner in the works for a complacent side? Can England retain the title?Fascinating
Well done Ireland. A bit laboured at times but job done. New blood coming through with the fantastic kids like Stockdale and Byrne. Ireland deserve their number 3 world ranking and are punching well above their weight with more to come. They will challenge in the Six Nations. England at Twickenham should be a humdinger and they are the team to beat.
Not sure we’re world beaters yet. We’ve not been convincing for a complete 80 minutes yet. Look good when we get it right but comparatively easy autumn compared to Scotland or Wales. On 2 6N, England at twickenham will be tough. Not convinced we’ll win there but don’t think the grand slams is anyone’s. My rankings1. Eng2. NZ3. Ire4. Sco5. Aus6. SA7. Wal8. FraJust based on opinion
#4 Not too sure the original poster was suggesting that Ireland are looking like winners as you in turn suggested in your counter claim. I agree that its too early to think about the world cup but I think a lot of Irish optimism comes from having one of the best managers around to guide us there. 6 nations will be very very interesting with Scotland really kicking on from their campaign....
Article about Ireland vs Argentina, and somehow the comments are all about England. Bit disappointed with Ireland’s performance, at 20-0 they were dominating and had a chance to run up a healthy score, ended up far from convincing. Couple of strong prospects on show though.
No jibes Bud just good banter, reading the Wales vs NZ banter....now that is jibes lol . All is read is "we WOULD, COULD beat the AB's ....on your bike until next year & #12 xx
What's with all the ire v Eng jibes? Delighted with performance. Really impressed with Scotland also they are the form horse going into the 6 N. we should just be happy 4 of the top teams currently in the world are from the northern hemisphere and each could beat the other on their day. Ireland England and Scotland. Wales are poor to be fair, disappointed as went to uni in Cardiff great place
#12 - We should have and let them back in, in the second half. The Argies are breeding some young players & so are we. Player(s) of the series?
After the first weekend of the AIs and the comments that followed I would have expected Ireland to have put 50 points past Argentina.Luckily, only England can be "unconvincing".
I do miss the French flair of old, such is their profession clubs who destroyed that flair!
