https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/44209849Scans revealed he has injured several ligaments, including a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL)."The injury is expected to keep him out of action for a period between nine and 12 months."This is disappointing I was looking forward to seeing him on tour.
@ 80Are you a kiwi posting with reference to Brad Shields ?
Shaun Edwards ? likely to replace Shane Wane at Wigan Warriors RL ?
There seems to be a lot of reading between the lines on this thread, Gustards appointment to Quins looks like a good one, he can't be any worse than his predecessor, so good luck to him.
@89 Its great that you have all this insider knowledge, what a pity you didn't use it to advise Brad Shields not to come to join England because of Jones!@88 As a 42 year old, knowing HC jobs arent that easy to come by, I think I might (in my industry people have made similar moves)
Everyone is abandoning Eddie Jones as a result of his poor and aggressive management style
87 Hope you’re right, Steve.Nobody knows except Gustard, Jones etc, but to me it’s concerning all the same with everything that’s already been said. Also because I wouldn’t give up a coaching role with England for a HC role not long before a WC, unless I wasn’t happy. As you say though, Gustard may well feel differently.
@84 Reading the Telegraph piece, a lot of 'innuendo' and 'deduction' from what he said and from Gustards move. Gustard saying he's "sorry to be leaving but you have to take your chances when they come" are read as not being truthful and he's leaving because he doesn't see eye to eye with EJ 'search for perfection'!Not sure theres as much in it as is being made out!
Usual Dawson arrogant comment about a move to the English ranks being the highest accolade
@84 fist etc.Stuff(online arm of Dominion newspaper) were relaying, for NZ readers, a piece written in the UK Telegraph.
79. Posted by bear3Do you have a link from a credible source, or is it just from stuff.co.nz? Interestingly they filled in some of what Jones said with [England].
I may have missed the point but why would Edwards want to come into the England camp? Its simply a sideways step and to Wales self confessed most hated team so doesn't seem any incentive for him really?
@62 wonder how different you see Bloodgate to what the French have done the last couple of 6N with swapping props in and out. There is a level of premeditation with bloodgate that was sickening, people lost their jobs, medical licenses and reputations.
@80Maybe he knows some things that you don't.
