Captain Elliot Dee touched down twice as Dragons comfortably overcame Romanian side Timisoara Saracens at Stadionul Dan Paltinisanu in the European Challenge Cup opening round.

The visitors trailed 10-7 after Jack Umaga went over for the hosts.

But Bernard Jackman's side regained the initiative to be 26-10 up at the break.

Dee, Leon Brown and Dafydd Howells went over before the break with Lewis Evans, a penalty try and Ollie Griffiths tries before Rhodri Davies ended the rout.

Fly-half Josh Lewis added six conversions for the visitors.

Marius Simonescu followed Umaga to the line for the hosts, but they had no answer to Dragons' superior power and pace in the first meeting between the clubs.
