Conferece B leaders Leinster hit six tries to secure a bonus point-win away to basement side Southern Kings.

Tries from Adam Byrne, Jamison Gibson-Park, Dan Leavy and Max Deegan, along with a penalty try, gave Leinster a 33-12 lead at the break in South Africa.

Bryan Byrne got the only try of the second half for Leo Cullen's men, who had to survive two tries in the final 10 minutes from the hosts.

It is now seven wins from their opening eight games for Leinster.

Stefan Ungerer hit two tries for the hosts, with Yaw Penxe, Lupumlo Mguca and Dries van Schalkwyk also crossing the line at the NMU Stadium.

Kings took an early lead when they kicked through and Penxe pounced on the loose ball to score in the second minute.

Fardy captains much-changed Leinster

Much-changed Leinster, who were captained by Scott Fardy for the first time, responded 13 minutes later with Adam Byrne going over before good work by the visiting pack delivered a penalty try.

Kings were then reduced to 13 men when Stephan Greeff and Schalk Ferriera were awarded yellow cards, but they were soon back on level terms thanks to a converted Ungerer try.

The game swung Leinster's way once again as three tries in the final four minutes of the half from Gibson-Park, Leavy and Deegan - all converted by Noel Reid - gave them a 21-point interval lead.

The home side started the second half brightly and Ungerer went over for his second try in the 42nd minute before Bryan Byrne restored Leicester's lead on 63.

It looked like the visitors were on course for a comfortable win but Kings produced a late surge, with Mguca and van Schalkwyk scoring tries in the final 10 minutes.
