Mctavish 141. Not a dodgy try whatsoever and completely within the rules. Biggar kicked the ball after the ref had blown to restart the game, have a look for yourself.
Can fellared tell us all more about the nation that is South Acrica?
@161 Sorry the "EJ doesn't know his best team" was firmly tongue in cheek as it is a phrase being used by the ABE brigade to belittle him(even though hes short enough) and England! There is a case for saying that each coach knows his best team but often that team is shorn through injury or because of a game plan.
162Just to clarify - I’m not saying we will win the World Cup. Merely we will have 3 1/4 finals in succession a semi and a final to do so. Not seen Wales fixtures but assuming Fiji and/or Australia aren’t first up if they’re using fringe players for these next 2 games?Looks to me like as ever they were desperate to beat England. Seems odd to play your full strength side straight away.
159EJ knows his best team. You saw ‘the best team he can put out’ on Saturday. There are 3 more warm up games to go to give this team the momentum it needs for France and Argentina. That’s not disrespecting Tonga and USA but the urgency to field the best team v Wales wasn’t there. The downside of their pool is - to Win the WC they’ll have to play 5 top teams on the bounce.
@141I assume by your name you’re the well known Scottish singer. Although she probably knows more about rugby (and cricket) than you.
@158 Perhaps the phrase "best team Gats could have put out" would be more acceptable? England can't claim that as apparently EJ doesn't know what his best team is.
157 You were def at full strength at TW. You came to protect your unbeaten run and got schooled by a bunch of debutants. We then put 57 points at near full strength on the World No 2.That team would have put 57 on Wales instead of the 33.
148 - we were not at full strength or even close to full strength
I think England look very good indeed. To have destroyed Ireland by that much and in that weather does bow very well for England. As a Kiwi, if the English end up playing NZ and play like they did against Ireland, then NZ will more than likely lose. So that is respect and shaping up to be a wide open World Cup.
So much biased tripe whenever it comes to Wales v England. True rugby followers all know that ABs remain team to beat at WRC despite rather meaningless current world rankings. Wales a formidable defensive outfit but find it difficult to score tries against top international sides. England generally have cover in depth but still weak in some positions (eg 9 and 15) and that may prove decisive.
@153 Kids?!!! Can you imagine the hatred they'll have been brought up with and how they'll join in with Daddy on HYS when old enough!!😯
@145AnglophoneIt's the kids I feel sorry for...
@ 140I believe it started when he went to the defence of some gay chaps that were being picked on
Backing up Grumpy Bear @141. Posted by Lulu Is Faster Than You - IRB changed the rules immediately after the game so they are in action for the RWC and refs have practiced its implementation, to prevent a similar circumstance. Fastest rule change in Union history. Nuff said.
