I think the final will be a repeat of the pool B game between NZ and SA, which is a great shame because I'd really like to see Ireland go well and they'll have to play one of those 2 in the quarters. Never beaten either, not played SA yet in a WC. Mind you they've never beaten Scotland in a world cup match either
@196 mc I've stated this before as a Welsh man I hope our new coach has as much success from the offset as Eddie jones has for England! Dont forget he has only been in charge 4yrs! Like him or hate him there is no denying his record!
203lamps. I agree. No easy task but if we accomplish all those wins nobody could say we weren't battle ready for the final !
England can win it, But to do so they will have to beat 5 tier 1 countries in 5 consecutive Saturdays. The way I see it Englands last 5 games will be Argentina (group), France (group), Australia (QF), NZ (SF) and SA (Final). All the other tier 1 v tier 1 clashes happen much earlier in the groups.
@195 Deal. Although when in Paris I like a nice red wine!Have two uncles buried in main military cemetery and go to the cafe on Rue Magdalene to drink their health.
Completely agree. England definitely can win it.Will they? That's a different question. There's at least 6 teams in my reckoning that "can" win it, and only 1 actually will.
The usual click bait HYS whenever a member of the English Team show any kind of confidence in the squad. Thankfully there is no one online who would misinterpret confidence for arrogance. Or a hack at the BBC to turn it into an excuse to reference 2011 & 2015 to stir up wart faced trolls from under the internet bridge. Looking forward to Friday & an extremely competitive tournament
Classic English arrogance. Doesn't he know wales have trained at altitude!? Altitude I tell ya! They're unbeatable now. "Oooh bring on the world cup because we've bonded as a team in switzerland!" Pathetic
ok trying to bury the hatchet, but if you don't want that, thats ok
@196 Wow, thats new! Don't think you've ever made that comment before!
I think you are in for a shock as england leave after the group stage - again Winning it is impossible for that bunch led by that deluded coach EJ
Come meet me at Stade de France in February for France v England? I will buy you a pint
@193 Ah I see your 'juniors' are U22!
I live in France, although born into a soccer family I have come to love my rugby. My team is La Rochelle, yesterday I watched our juniors 'epoirs' beat Castres, the our first XV beat Toulouse; Watched and shouted for England last time they won the grand slam, just because I love football, and hate Man U, doesn't mean I cant love rugby
@189 As junior rugby in England (and Scotland and Wales) is played of a Sunday have to presume you're either not telling the truth or live abroad!
Question: can you win?Answer of every top team: yesWhy is this even being written? He's hardly going to say no.
