Glasgow City were held to a draw in their Champions League last 32 first-leg tie against Valur Rekjavik.
Lisa Evans put the home side ahead after 16 minutes when she pounced on a loose ball to fire home.
But the Icelandic champions equalised through an Laufey Ólafsdóttir free kick 15 minutes after the restart.
A crowd of 338 watched the match at Petershill Park in Glasgow, with the sides meeting again next Thursday for the return leg.
City head coach Eddie Wolecki Black said the Scots remained confident about getting a result in Iceland.
"I feel we lacked that wee bit of luck on the night," he said. "If it'd finished 1-0 then who knows? But we're still in the tie.
"One thing about this team is that we can always score goals; we're certainly going to go there and have a go.
"We won't be going there to sit back and I feel that the tie is still very open."
