Scotland have moved up one place to 51st in the latest FIFA world rankings, despite missing out on Euro 2012.

Spain have extended their lead as the world's top team, with victory over Scotland their 23rd consecutive win.

Scotland were in the fourth pot of seeds for the World Cup in Brazil in 2014, where they will face Croatia, Serbia, Belgium, Macedonia and Wales.

Manager Craig Levein has already warned that qualification will be a tough proposition for his side.
