Scotland striker Kris Boyd is mulling over a two-year contract with Major League Soccer side Houston Dynamo.

The 28-year-old, formerly of Kilmarnock, Rangers and Middlesbrough, left Eskisehirspor after only five months with the Turkish club.

He terminated his contract in December after a dispute over pay.

Now he could head for the United States to open talks with the Texas-based club managed by Scottish-born Dominic Kinnear.

The former USA international's side lost 1-0 in the final of the MLS Cup last season to a Los Angeles Galaxy side containing David Beckham and Robbie Keane.

Should Boyd, who ended last season on loan with Nottingham Forest in the Championship, sign for Houston, he would join compatriot Adam Moffat in the Dynamo squad.

Moffat started his career with Ross County before moving to Elgin City, Cleveland City Stars, Columbus Crew and Portland Timbers, then ending last season at Houston.
