Jersey shooter Mike Alexandre win world title

Alexandre is a member of the Jersey Muzzle Loaders

Jersey muzzle shooter Mike Alexandre has won gold at the Long Range World Championships in Bisley.

Alexandre's success came in the 600 yard discipline where he beat South African multiple world champion Kobus de Villiers to the title.

It is Alexandre's first international medal since finishing fourth in each of the last two World Championships.

There was also success for fellow islander Gareth Callan who picked up bronze in the same event.
