Northern Ireland clinched a surprise 4-3 win over Scotland in Saturday's World Cup quarter-final in Bangkok.
Mark Allen and Gerard Green edged out world champion John Higgins and Stephen Maguire to set up a semi-final clash against Hong Kong.
However, Republic of Ireland pair Ken Doherty and Fergal O'Brien were knocked out at the last eight stage at the Bangkok Convention Centre.
They lost out 4-1 to China's Ding Junhui and Liang Wenbo.
Northern Ireland beat India, Brazil and Belgium, before losing 3-2 to England in their final group game on Friday.
