Mark Allen loses to Joe Perry in International Championship last 16

Northern Ireland's Mark Allen lost 6-4 to Joe Perry in the last 16 of the International Championship in China.

Antrim man Allen, ranked 12 in the world, lost to England's world number 19 in the third round at the Chengdu Eastern Music Park on Wednesday.

Allen had beaten Dave Harold 6-4 on Tuesday in round two, having seen off China's Tian Pengfei 6-1 in round one, scoring two centuries in the process.

Last month Allen won the Ruhr Open title in Germany.

Perry scored three centuries on his way to victory on Wednesday, with Allen recording one.
