Wales took a major step towards the quarter finals of the World Snooker Cup when they beat Poland in Wuxi, China on Tuesday.
The Welsh pair of Mark Williams and Michael White were 4-1 winners over the Polish duo of Mateusz Baranowski and Adam Stefanow.
Wales are level with Northern Ireland at the top of pool C, and now face Qatar on Wednesday (06:00 BST).
"We're on course to qualify, which is the main thing," said White.
In the other pool C matches, Northern Ireland were 4-1 winners over Qatar but Pakistan scored a shock 3-2 win over Australia.
"It's a short format, only five frames, and the other countries' players can all play. So it's going to be tough," added White.
