Plymouth Devils have made a late change to their squad by re-signing Italian Gino Franchetti.
The 26-year-old replaces American Brent Werner, who had initially been tempted out of retirement to join the Devils.
Franchetti rode for Plymouth last season, averaging 3.40 from his 21 appearances to become a favourite of the fans at St Boniface arena.
He will start the season at reserve alongside Dane Nicki Glanz, with James Cockle moving up into the main team.
The Devils open their 2012 campaign at home to Rye House Rockets on 23 March.
