Plymouth Devils beaten 56-37 at Rye House

Plymouth Devils

New signing Todd Kurtz top scored with 13 points on his debut, but Plymouth returned from Hertfordshire pointless as they lost 56-37 to Rye House.

Devils began Friday's meeting well, leading 17-13 after five races.

But, by heat seven, the home side had turned the match around and never relinquished the lead after that.

Plymouth were already without American Ryan Fisher, on international duty, and they lost skipper Ben Barker through injury after heat seven.

The defeat leaves Plymouth fourth in the League Cup southern section after four matches.

Devils were left frustrated yet again by the weather 24 hours earlier as their home match with Ipswich was cancelled due to a waterlogged track.
