Plymouth Devils have released Gino Franchetti after an unsuccessful spell with the Premier League club.
He has been replaced by Australian rider Robert Ksiezak, who will make his debut against Redcar on Friday night.
Franchetti re-signed for Plymouth in February after initially not having a deal at St Boniface Arena.
"It is unfortunate that we have had to release Gino Franchetti, but he has had enough matches and is just not scoring the points," said promoter Mike Bowden.
"We thank Gino for his services with the team and are just sorry that he has not been able to reproduce the form he was showing at the end of last season."
