Belle Vue Aces sign former Poole Pirates rider Renat Gafurov

Belle Vue Aces, the bottom club in the Elite League, have signed former Poole Pirates rider Renat Gafurov.

The Russian replaces Linus Eklof, who is now looking for a position with a Premier League club after struggling at Kirkmanshulme Lane.

Gafurov, 29, is due to make his debut for the Aces in the home meeting against Wolverhampton on Monday.

Belle Vue are rooted to the foot of the Elite League table, having lost all nine fixtures so far this season.
