Mildenhall Fen Tigers co-promoter Michael Lee has praised the courage of teenager Stefan Nielsen following his side's 53-40 win over Buxton Hitmen.
The 17-year-old contributed 16 points from six rides despite a heavy crash in his first ride.
He collapsed after the meeting and was taken to hospital with suspected fractured vertebrae.
"The crash was horrific. He was 15 foot in the air and came down upside down. He did so well to carry on," said Lee.
"To see him walk away was a bonus but to carry on riding in the meeting shows how tough he is."
X-rays did not reveal any fractures and Nielsen was later discharged and able to attend Sunday's National League Pairs meeting at which team-mates Cameron Heeps and Lewis Blackbird took the title.
And Lee believes he may be available for next Sunday's National League return match at Buxton.
"He's going to rest this week. I believe he's going to have a ride on Friday and hopefully everything will be OK," Lee added.
"It is bruising - he said he feels OK in himself, he's just having a job to move."
