Plymouth's new National League side, Devon Demons, will be captained by Matt Bates this season.
The 24-year-old Exeter-based rider will be supported by Lee Smart as the team's vice-captain.
Ex-Plymouth Devils rider Tim Webster will be the team's number one, while Ben Reade will be a heat leader in addition to his role with the Devils.
And Richard Andrews will also join the Demons, who begin their season on 15 March, as a reserve.
Team manager Gary Spiller said: "I am sure Matt will be a popular choice as captain as he is well known to the Plymouth supporters and has also been heavily involved recently in helping to keep the name of the Exeter Falcons alive.
"We are also pleased to have Lee as our new vice-captain as he is an experienced rider and strong character.
"Tim is returning to the sport after a couple of years and will take the number one slot by virtue of his 8.43 average."
