Nominations open for BBC Young Sports Personality award

Do you know a budding Wayne Rooney, Tom Daley, Ellie Simmonds or Andy Murray? The 2011 BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year has been launched, giving you the chance to nominate the best in young sporting talent in the UK.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the award and the winner will be announced at the live BBC Sports Personality of the Year show on Thursday 22 December.
The 2011 winner will join a strong list of sporting greats who have had their names etched on the trophy since its inception in 2001.
The award is made to the outstanding young sports person of the year, who was aged 16 or under on 1 January 2011, selected from nominations made to the BBC and by sports governing bodies via the Youth Sport Trust.
A panel of judges, including Jake Humphrey and John Inverdale, will finalise a shortlist of 10 from the nominations received. The panel will then meet again to select the final three who will be invited to attend the live BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2011 show.
To nominate a young sports star for BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year you can download a nomination form. Completed forms can be returned via email or post, and must be received by Monday 14 November, 2011.

This year's BBC Sports Personality of the Year show will take place at MediaCityUK, Salford Quays and will be presented by Sue Barker, Gary Lineker and Humphrey.
In addition to Young Sports Personality of the Year, there will also be awards for: BBC Sports Personality of the Year, Team of the Year, Coach of the Year, Overseas Sports Personality of the Year, Lifetime Achievement, Helen Rollason Award and BBC Sports Unsung Hero.
