BBC Sport - Sports Personality: Team made Tour win possible - Chris Froome

Froome on 'huge team achievement'

During the countdown to the 60th BBC Sports Personality of the Year award on Sunday 15 December, we will be looking at each of the 10 shortlisted contenders.

Sports Personality of the Year contender Chris Froome says his 2013 Tour de France victory was a "huge team achievement" that will stay with him forever.

Froome capped a dominant year on the road by becoming only the second British cyclist to win the Tour de France, in the 100th edition of the race, but says that he would not have made it to Paris without his team-mates.

The Team Sky rider says his overriding emotion after winning the Tour, was wanting to "go back and do it all again".
