Madeline Perry's defence of the Australian Open ended on Sunday after a semi-final defeat to Jenny Duncalf.
The 34-year-old Banbridge player was beaten 11-8, 11-9, 2-11, 11-4 by her English opponent in Canberra.
"The key was those first two games, I think if I could have won one of those two games it could have been different," said Perry.
"It was a close match and I thought I played better than my last match - I was just disappointed with the result."
She added: ""In the fourth I just got my tactics wrong. I was perfect in the third but just went a bit defensive in the third and let her get too big a lead."
Perry progressed to the semis after a 3-1 win over 2009 winner Joelle King.
In her last tournament, Perry lifted the Singapore Masters to claim her ninth WISPA title victory.
