Swimmer Miles Munro has been named Guernsey Sports Commission's Most Outstanding Performer of 2014.

The 18-year-old won 4x100m relay gold at the Youth Olympics in Nanjing and also swam at the Commonwealth Games.

He succeeds cyclist Tobyn Horton and is the youngest winner since tennis player Heather Watson in 2009.

"He's had a fantastic year and for him to win this award is just icing on the cake," his coach Alison Frankland told BBC Radio Guernsey.

Guernsey's men's hockey team, who won the FH National Trophy, were named team of the year, while their player-coach Andy Whalley took the coaching award.
