British title win for Jersey kickboxer Monika Markowska

Markowska is hoping to fight for Britain at the World Championships

Jersey's Monika Markowska has won the Action International Martial Arts Association British title by defeating Birmingham's Rachel Green.

Markowska, who is a member of Cho's Tae Kwon Do in Jersey, beat the Winspers KB fighter over five two minute rounds.

The victory adds to Markowska's recent wins in the WAKO British Title and Irish Open Title.

The Jersey fighter is now in line for a place on the British Kickboxing Squad at this year's World Championships.
