Heather Watson advanced to round two of the Suez Open with a comfortable victory over Russia's Valeria Savinykh.
Watson, 18, eased to a 6-4 6-2 victory in the ITF event at Cagnes Sur Mer in France and will next face Italy's Maria-Elena Camerin.
And after joining fellow Brit Elena Baltacha in the last 16, Watson tweeted: "Felt pretty good out there.
"I played some of my best tennis today. Very Happy. No match tomorrow, just practice."
Watson's second-round match promises to be a tight encounter, the Guernsey-born player ranked only two places below Camerin at 122 in the world.
