Laura Robson has been beaten in straight sets at the Pacific Open in Tokyo by Ana Ivanovic.
Former world number one Ivanovic won the second-round match 7-5 6-4.
A sluggish Ivanovic struggled to hold on to her opening service game but recovered to break Robson in the 12th game and seal the set 7-5.
Robson hit back in the second set with a double break for a 3-0 lead, only to be broken right away as Ivanovic cruised to victory.
The Serbian only lost one more game to seal the win in one hour and 27 minutes.
After the match, Robson, 17, Tweeted: "You win some, you lose some."
