Roger Federer produced some masterful tennis on the way to a 6-3 6-0 victory over Rafael Nadal in their ATP World Tour Finals match at the 02 Arena.

The result ensured defending champion Federer has qualified for the semi-finals on Tuesday.

Federer went into the match knowing victory would guarantee his place in the last four after Jo-Wilfried Tsonga defeated Mardy Fish.

The Swiss star needed just one hour to complete a stunning victory over Nadal.

Federer said: "It's a surprising result. I wish Rafa all the best for the rest of the group. I'm excited about the way I played tonight."

Regarding his qualification for the semi-finals with a match to spare, he admitted: "It's a weight off my shoulders to play the last match without such pressure."
