Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova warmed up for the US Open with a 6-4 6-2 win over Magdalena Rybarikova in the final of the WTA Connecticut Open.
Kvitova picked up her second title at New Haven in three years despite it being only her third tournament since winning Wimbledon in July.
"I think I played a really solid game ahead of next week," she said.
Meanwhile fellow Czech Lukas Rosol beat Poland's Jerzy Janowic to win the ATP Winston-Salem Open 3-6 7-6 7-5.
World number four Kvitova is seeded third for the final major of the season at Flushing Meadow starting on Monday. She plays Kristina Mladenovic of France in the first round.
