168 They haven't played yet
Kyrigos blew his chances against Nadal by playing a long tough 5 setter in this round. Kachanov is a high quality opponent, i agree but Kyrios should have closed out the match earlier and conserve his energy. I have no doubt about Kyrigos's brilliance by way of talent and shot making, his temperament and physical fitness has always been in doubt. Look at the number of matches he has retired.
@159. I agree, Nadal has worked on his nice and humble guy image. I dont mind him being ruthless, all professional sportsmen should be like that in my opinion. Nadal appear to be gracious in defeat however, underneath, he mostly portray his defeat as due to his injury or him not playing well. so kyrigos has a point there when he talked about nadal in the past.
@, 165, Ancelotti s left eyebrow, with all due respect i think all 3 of them have surpassed him&don't for get that they have had to compete against each other!, my call would be federer the best of all time, nadal the best ever on clay&vying with djokovic for the 2nd best of all time!, i personally think nadal edges second with olympic golds!, sampras has more single slams than laver, top 5 tho
It's a titanic struggle between Federer, Djokovic and Nadal to decide who is the second greatest player of all time behind Rod Laver.
wow!, it is a tasty encounter on paper!, hope kyrgios doesn't do any of his stupid antics & plays tennis because he has a chance, nadal is one of the all time greats & won't fall for mind games!, if kyrgios behaves & concentrates i think he might edge it.
Shame he won. One of the rudest most belligerent male players, acts like a child, throws tantrums, always arguing with umpires, hopefully Nadal will teach him some manners, something K'gos doesn't seem able to comprehend. Unsurprisingly!

I think kygrios is a great talent but simply doesn't have that competitive winning side.I think he is great for the sport For to long now it's been the fed, novak, nadal show and people non tennis people are bored of it!!We all remember john McEnroe and his you cannot be serious
Raonic had his chances 2 or 3 years ago when I thought he could nick a major (around the time when McEnroe coached him). h was consistent top 10 payer then. But he has gone off in recent years. His game is still built on his huge serve. However His vollying skills are average, BH weak and movement weaker. It seems the the courts at Ao this year sees slower, so he could struggle as he moves up
Nadal works hard on his nice guy image but he is as ruthless as they come. He dislikes Kyrgios no matter what he says and so he will chase down every ball with everything he has got. Kyrgios is often bad under pressure but if he can get in front and away, he might do it.
@156/157 - The dark horse for me is Rublev, I think this is the year he hits the top 10 and could well surprise people, like his compatriot Medvedev did last year.Raonic will be lucky to get a set off Djokovic. Nick will beat Rafa, I hope.
153 your dark horse has a dreadful record against Djokovic but fingers crossed
153. Posted by Tomas 33: You said it first and I agree that Raonic could indeed be a 'dark horse.' If I were a betting man I would have a punt on him! He reached the final of Wimbledon after all and his form has improved a lot lately.
@143 - As @143 says, the FO crowd can be very partisan and have you ever watched a Murray match at Wimbledon? Fed haters were complaining about the crowd in last year's final too.I'm not sure why you'd criticise an Australian crowd, cheering on an Australian player, who has pledged money from every ace towards an Australian disaster relief fund.
Great match has just finished with Raonic again playing very strongly and beating Cilic who may have had a strain..Raonic is remarkably deceptive because although he looks a bit heavy in the tummy ,he is super quick around the court and hits all his hots with great speed. He is a dark horse this year.
