Cornwall's Lisa Picton overcame treacherous weather conditions to take first place in the Bala Middle Distance Triathlon in Wales.
Competitors were faced with strong winds and heavy rain along the course, which comprised a 2km swim, 78.5km cycle and 20km run.
After coming off the bike in third place, Picton made up ground to take victory in a time of 5:06:26.
"The cycle was horrendous from start to finish, but it was worth it," she said.
"I couldn't feel my feet for the first three miles of the run, but I was just so happy to be running and I found my rhythm quite quickly so it was all worth it."
