London will host the 2013 Triathlon World Championship Grand Final.
International Triathlon Union president Marisol Casado said: "We are confident London will set a new standard for ITU's premier event."
The course was used for a World Championship Series event last month, won by Great Britain's Alistair Brownlee.
Brownlee said: "It is a big boost to British athletes to know we will be heading back to Hyde Park in 2013."
Alistair Brownlee heads the men's standings from younger brother Jonny going into this weekend's final. Helen Jenkins is top of the women's rankings.
This year's final also takes place at a former Olympic venue, 2008 host city Beijing.
Casado added: "It's always very special to come back to an Olympic Games venue, so we are thrilled to return to London for the ITU World Championship Grand Final in 2013."
