Brownlee 'still best in the world'

Alistair Brownlee says he is still "the best triathlete in the world" as he prepares to return to action in the Cape Town World Series event on Sunday.

The Olympic champion, 27, has missed the first three races of the season because of an ankle injury.

In his absence, younger brother and new world number one Jonathan, who will not race in Cape Town, secured dominant wins in Auckland and on the Gold Coast.

Double world champion Helen Jenkins and Commonwealth bronze medallist Vicky Holland return from injury for the women's race on Saturday.
