Northern Ireland triathlete Aileen Reid finished in a fine ninth position in the World Series Triathlon Grand Final in Chicago.
Reid came home in a time of 1 hour 57 minutes, 37 seconds, just over two minutes behind the winner, American Gwen Jorgensen.
Jorgensen made it back-to-back World Championships by claiming her 12th straight race success.
Reid, 33, moved up from 11th to ninth place in the overall standings.
The result marked a much improved performance from the 39th position which Reid achieved in her previous race in the series in Edmonton two weeks ago.
