So Cardiff City will join Swansea City in the Premier League next season, and while most fans will want their team to focus on winning the Championship title, there is room to celebrate and reflect on Cardiff's achievement on Sport Wales this week.
After their draw on Tuesday to Charlton, Cardiff guaranteed promotion and the final home match of the season against Bolton on the 27th of April will be a party atmosphere at the Cardiff City stadium.
We speak to Cardiff City to get all the reaction about there being two Welsh teams in the top flight for the first time.
Cardiff City fan Nathan Cleverly will be hoping to keep the celebrations going on Saturday night when he defends his WBO Light-heavyweight title for the 5th time.

The Welshman goes up against the Kosovan fighter Robin Krasniqi in a Mandatory defence ordered by the WBO. He's hoping to win and secure a fight, at the country's newest Premier League ground, against IBF title holder Bernard Hopkins before the end of 2013.
Sport Wales went out on the streets of South Wales after dark with Cleverly, to see the hard work and dedication required to be at the top of the sport.
We're also at the Welsh Amateur Boxing Championships as the next generation of welsh talent has their big night in Llanelli.
