Andy Powell set to make South Wales Scorpions debut

Andy Powell is expected to make his debut for South Wales Scorpions against Gateshead Thunder on Sunday as he continues his rugby league education.
Powell, the former Wales rugby union number eight, switched codes in June by joining Wigan Warriors.
The 31-year-old has played twice for Wigan but has been allowed to join the Scorpions on a dual registration.
"I am really looking forward to playing for the Scorpions and getting 80 minutes of rugby league," said Powell.
"It was always the plan when I joined Wigan to head out on dual registration and to be playing in Wales for the Scorpions is another important step for me in my development."
Powell made his Wigan debut as a replacement in a 4-18 Super League defeat by Castleford Tigers in June, and he came off the bench again in the next game in the 26-20 home win over Bradford Bulls.
A planned debut for the Scorpions was thwarted by injury two weeks ago, but Powell has now fully recovered to play in a Championship One match at the Gnoll, Neath.
"This is a good opportunity for Andy to get some game time under his belt and I am sure there will be plenty of interest in him playing on Sunday for the Scorpions," said Wigan coach Shaun Wane.
"We have been delighted with how he has settled in here at Wigan and how he has quickly adapted to the game and he will benefit greatly from playing in another competitive Rugby League fixture."
The Scorpions are seventh in the nine-team Championship One division, which is two tiers below the Super League.
Coach Dave Clark said: "We're delighted he's coming back down to South Wales to play for us and hopefully he'll help to lead us to a much needed three points against Gateshead."
