Dave McConnell's late try snatched a 24-20 victory for North Wales Crusaders against Gateshead Thunder in Championship One.
The hooker managed to burrow his way over from acting half to deny Gateshead, who had trailed 12-8 at half-time but hit back with an improved second-half display.
Tommy Johnson, Jamie Durbin and Leon Brennan claimed Crusaders' other tries, with Tommy Johnson kicking all four of his attempts at goal.
South Wales Scorpions slumped to a 36-10 defeat at Rochdale Hornets despite holding their hosts 10-10 at half-time.
Shae Lyon-Fraser and Sam Powell claimed first-half tries for the Welsh but they crumbled before Rochdale's onslaught after the break.
