Christian Malcolm appointed to Welsh Athletics board of directors

Christian Malcolm has been appointed to the Welsh Athletics board of directors.

The four-time Olympic sprinter from Newport won 200m silver medals at the 2010 European Championships and the 1998 Commonwealth Games.

The 34-year-old Malcolm will join the board for three years.

Also decided at the annual general meeting was the appointment of Sue Sayer as president, replacing John Penny, with John Collins and Lynette Harries MBE appointed vice-presidents.

Former First Minister of Wales Rhodri Morgan has become a patron of Welsh Athletics, alongside Lynn Davies CBE and John Disley CBE
