League One: Crusaders suffer narrow Rochdale loss
Last updated on .From the section Wales
North Wales Crusaders came agonisingly close to victory at Rochdale Hornets, as Tommy Johnson's missed conversion at the death saw them lose 19-18.
Rob Massam collected Andy Moulsdale's grubber to go over in the final minute for the injury-hit Crusaders, but Johnson sliced the following kick wide.
Both sides finished with 12 men after Scott Turner was sent-off along with Hornets' Dale Bloomfield for fighting.
South Wales Scorpions were beaten 48-10 at home by 12-man Keighley Cougars.
The visitors had former Scorpion Samir Tahraoui sent off in the 36th-minute for throwing a punch, but were still far too good for South Wales as they ran in 10 tries - including hat-tricks for Josh Guzdek, Paul White and Andy Gabriel.
