Welsh sailor Hannah Mills is "super happy" after she and Saskia Clark won the 470-class at the World Cup final in Abu Dhabi.
The 2012 Olympic silver medallists finished in the top three in all seven races on their way to the title.
"It's a massive positive step, any time you can win an event is a big boost," said the 27-year-old from Dinas Powys.
In September Mills and Clark were among eight sailors selected for the GB team at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Their latest victory comes after a first-place in the World Cup event in Weymouth and Portland in June, and second-places in the Rio Test event in August and the 470 World Championships in Haifa last month.
"We're super happy it was an amazing week here," added Mills.
"We're back home for a month, back to the cold, and then we head back to Rio in December - there's a regatta there - and for some training."
