Celtic Dragons coach Trish Wilcox was delighted with her side's performance in their first win of the Superleague season.

The Welsh team moved off the bottom of the table by beating Yorkshire Jets 55-33 in Leeds.

"We are really happy with the result, but more-so the way the girls performed to get that result. They were fantastic," said Wilcox.

Dragons' win left their opponents winless at the foot of the table.

"We had a tough road in those first weeks and it was always going to be challenging," added Wilcox.

"However, the girls never lost faith and focused on their processes and we knew if we kept doing that, the result would come."
