Cardiff Devils missed the chance to extend their lead at the top of the Elite Ice Hockey League as they lost 7-4 away against Nottingham Panthers.
Guillaume Doucet gave the Devils an early lead but Alex Nikiforuk and Matt Carter put the hosts 2-1 up.
Andy Sertich, Nikiforuk's second and one from Chris Lawrence extended their lead to 5-1, before Patrick Asselin pulled two goals back for the Devils.
Stephen Schultz and Robert Farmer claimed the Panther's other goals.
Those came either side of a Matthew Myers goal for the Devils, who remain seven points clear at the top of the table.
Victory for the Panthers, meanwhile, lifts them up to fourth place.
