The Football Association and Newport County have both launched inquiries following incidents in Saturday's League Two game against Blackpool.

Blackpool boss Gary Bowyer said he was struck by missiles as he stood in the dugout at Rodney Parade during his side's 3-1 victory.

"The FA have to act, it's as simple as that. Newport County should act as well," he said.

Newport, who are in the relegation zone, have appealed for witnesses.

"Such behaviour will not be tolerated by the club and shall result in relevant bans," the club said in a statement.
