British number one Zoe Gillings was disappointed not to make the podium at the Winter X-Games in Aspen, Colorado.
The 26-year-old from the Isle of Man qualified third fastest before progressing to the final with a second place finish in her semi-final.
In the final a small mistake caused Gillings to fall while fending off a passing manoeuvre from the Olympic gold medallist Maelle Ricker.
Gillings went on to finish sixth with Canada's Dominique Maltais taking gold.
Gillings said: "I'm really gutted I didn't podium but looking at the bigger picture I am absolutely stoked."
Bulgarian rider Alexandra Jekova claimed silver with Ricker third.
World number one Lindsey Jacobellis, who had won the event for four consecutive years, missed the competition with a knee injury.
