- From the section Winter Sports
BBC North West Tonight follows British speed skier Jan Farrell as he competes at the World Championships in Andorra.
The Lancaster-born 2014 World Cup winner, who now lives in Spain, finished 19th and was one of three British competitors in the event.
With racers reaching speeds of up to 130mph, speed skiing is the world's fastest non-motorised sport and consists of the straight-line descent of an extremely steep slope.
