When is Remembrance Sunday 2018? Armistice 100 teaching resources
Remembrance events will take place across the country to mark the 100th anniversary of the Armistice in 1918 that signaled the end of World War One.
Here's a selection of teaching resources about Remembrance 2018 and the history of World War One.
World War One centenary
The 2018 Cenotaph Service and two minute silence takes place on Sunday 11 November 2018.
The traditional UK wide ceremony will be held in Whitehall, with Remembrance events at local cenotaph's across the country.
The Armistice 100 Whitehall event will include up to 10,000 veterans taking part in the Cenotaph March Past.
Remembrance Live Lesson
BBC Live Lessons will mark the centenary of the Armistice - the end of the First World War - with a creative writing lesson for primary students in collaboration with 14-18 NOW.
This is an opportunity for your school to be a part of a collective moment of reflection ahead of a weekend of national commemorative events.
Content for the Live Lesson has been designed to tie in with a free 14-18 NOW Armistice resource pack, linked to Danny Boyle's Pages of the Sea commemoration event, asking communities to gather on beaches to say thank you and goodbye to the millions who left their shores during World War One.
The pack is being sent to all primary schools and available to download on 22nd October.
