A world heavyweight champ’s guide to failure

Wladimir Klitschko is a two-time heavyweight boxing champion and former Olympian, who with his older brother Vitali, dominated an era of the heavyweight division. And while he lost to opponent Anthony Joshua in the final match of his career, the pugilistic legend considers the loss a ‘miracle.’

With the intense pressure pro athletes face on a global stage, it’s easy to be consumed by the need to win. But often overlooked are the lessons that can be learned from failure.

He’s brought those lessons from the ring to the lecture hall: Klitschko teaches continuing education courses at the University of St. Gallen, and wrote a book that came out last August, offering tips that can be transferred from boxing to business or finance.
